Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 July 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how StoreMate ("StoreMate", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, StoreMate CRM, or StoreMate Connect (together, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Account details — name, business name, email address, and phone number.
- Business data you enter into StoreMate CRM — inventory records, customer records, orders, and billing information.
- Content you set up in StoreMate Connect — automation rules, reply messages, and keyword triggers.
- Any information you share with us directly, such as through email or WhatsApp support.
2.2 Information from connected platforms
When you connect your Instagram Business or Creator account to StoreMate Connect, we access information through Meta's official API strictly to provide the automation features you set up — including comments, direct messages, and story replies on posts you choose to automate. We do not access or store more than what is required to deliver these features, and we do not use this data for advertising.
2.3 Information collected automatically
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, and general interaction patterns, used to improve the Services.
- Device and log data — browser type, IP address, and access times, used for security and troubleshooting.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and maintain StoreMate CRM and StoreMate Connect.
- To process your automations and deliver replies on your behalf, exactly as configured by you.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, or support requests.
- To improve our Services and develop new features.
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or misuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal or business data. We share information only in these cases:
- Service providers — hosting, infrastructure, and analytics providers who process data on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations.
- Meta Platforms — solely to send and receive Instagram messages as part of StoreMate Connect's core functionality, in line with Meta's Platform Terms.
- Legal requirements — if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
- Business transfers — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to you.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secure servers with industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and regular backups. While we work to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Services. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your rights
You may, at any time:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Withdraw consent for Instagram or WhatsApp data access by disconnecting the relevant account.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@storemate.com.
8. Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies required for the site to function correctly. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising.
9. Children's privacy
Our Services are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above, or by direct notice where appropriate.
